Bay Area Bold

  • Yerba Buena Gardens Screening Room 750 Howard Street San Francisco, CA, 94103 United States (map)

"As a region, we are experiencing one of the largest disparities in wealth and income, and it’s going to take all of us to turn the tide."
—Bay Area Bold mission statement

Bay Area family, friends and supporters!  We know L.A. is a bit of a drive but hop on BART and head to Bay Area Bold, a Summit and Festival organized and hosted by the San Francisco Foundation.

Coach Roscoe Bryant, the filmmaker, and Monte Robinson (an Oakland Royals player featured in the film) will speak at “Porchlight Storytelling:  Boys and Men of Color,” 12:30 pm, Friday, September 25, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Screening Room.  Other Porchlight Storytellers include Tyrone Mullins (Citizen Film/Green Streets) and Deandre Evans (Romeo Is Bleeding).

Ghost Town to Havana will screen immediately after Porchlight Storytelling, 1:45 pm.

It is an honor to be part of the Bay Area Bold Summit and Festival.  On the festival side, be ready for a serious, fun, and hip Bay Area experience with dance, music, film, and spoken-word performances by gifted local youth.  On the Summit side, Bay Area leaders, visionaries, and innovators will share ideas on how we can unlock opportunities for all people in the Bay Area—regardless of race, economic status, or neighborhood.  We hope to see you there.
